We are Student Orientation, Advisory, and Registration Advisors, a group of student volunteers who have decided to dedicate ourselves to guiding new students in their transition to university life, throughout theStartUp Week (previously called 'O-Week'). S.O.A.R. Advisors Recruitment Interview for Semester 1, 2010

Date: 19th September 2009 (Saturday)
Venue: Learning Centres 3 and 4
Time: 9 am onwards
*The interview will be held on a 'first come, first serve' basis

CRITERIA
1. Eager to learn and go out of comfort zone
2. Willing to work in a team
3. Committed.
4. Available in Miri for training from 23rd to 27th November 2009 (AFTER Foundation Studies exams), and from 18th February 2010 onwards (AFTER Chinese New Year)

This interview is open to ALL Curtin Sarawak students who are in Foundation Studies, Degree, and Diploma. If you are interested, please register by e-mailing your:

John Curtin Weekend 09: Rural Outreach Program is around the corner. This time, we are going to have 2 different weekend with 6 options available for registration. If you are eager to experience community service in rural area, at the same to learn the local culture, you should not miss this great chance. Self-Confidence Workshop Sem 2, 2009

    On 8^th August 2009 (Saturday), Curtin Volunteers! Personal Advancement Division organized a Self-Confidence Workshop, from 9.00a.m. - 12.00 p.m. at Learning Centre 1. We had invited Ms Hii Bai Yien, lecturer from Learning Centre to conduct the Self-Confidence Workshop. The objective of the workshop is build and master the self confidence which covered the area of physical, intellectual, spiritual and social among Curtin Volunteers!. It was a meaningful yet interesting Saturday morning while all the participants interact and communicate with each other by sharing, discussing and understanding how to apply the concept of self-confidence in the workshop.

During 25/4/2009, Saturday, a group of 15 Curtin Volunteers! had help out with Krokop Kindergarten Sports Day.
